Tuesday, Open Decks with STEEN at SILO is the rare night where the booth and the dance floor are basically the same crowd — loose, generous, and genuinely unpredictable. And Gay Felony at Animal is a selector from LA who is not frequently playing New York. Close-quarters dancing, zero pretense, and a deeply queer sensibility. Worth showing up for.
Wednesday, Borbón holds MAD Radio solo for seven hours — long enough to actually go somewhere, opening warm in the early evening and tightening into something deeper as the night lands. And if you just need pure joy, Amber Valentine takes over the Woods for Misster — disco ball, 2010s throwbacks, queer anthems, and a room that goes properly packed after 11:30. Sometimes the answer really is just Amber Valentine on a Wednesday.
Thursday has options in every direction. Community Hole at Jupiter opens all-vinyl and gets steadily more unhinged from there — uplifting house, sharp club cuts, and a peak-time stretch that is genuinely euphoric. Honey Trap at Signal brings bouncy, euphoric house with jungle and liquid drum and bass creeping in at the edges. And Two Shell at Refuge delivers playful, slippery UK club music that refuses to do the obvious thing twice in a row.
And if you need to forget everything and step into another world entirely, ON TOP x Bushwig Takeover at Le Bain is the Bushwig crew running Susanne Bartsch's legendary Thursday at maximum genderfuck volume. Expect looks. Expect performances. Expect to be overdressed and still not the most overdressed person in the room.

House and techno played by whoever signs up — twelve minutes a slot, no headliner, no ego, all of it running through the front room's 15,000-watt Danley rig. It's the rare night where the booth and the dance floor are basically the same crowd, which makes the energy loose, generous, and genuinely unpredictable.
Off The Record: Tuesday Sessions – Luchini, Chaske, Mimioux @ Public Arts, on Tue, 15 Sep, 23:00–04:00
House and electronica in the basement of the Public Hotel, starting at 11pm and treating a weeknight like a weekend. Expect a dressed-up, mixed room that fills in late and then refuses to thin out.
XCX Afters – Joopiter, Gogo @ 3 Dollar Bill, on Tue, 15 Sep, 22:00–late
Club beats, house, and pop edits for everyone spilling out of night two still wanting more — the unofficial afterparty that knows exactly what the room needs. Drag performances break up the dancing, and the whole thing runs on the collective sugar high that only happens after a show.
Gay Felony @ Animal, on Tue, 15 Sep, 20:00–02:00
Progressive, leftfield house and electronic flips with a deeply queer sensibility — the kind of set built by someone who runs a radio show and treats a night out like a crate-dig. Animal is a small East Williamsburg queer bar, so this is close-quarters dancing with zero pretense and a crowd that mostly knows each other.
Beyond the Stardust – The Illustrious Blacks, Niegel Smith, Amazonian Rockstar, Courtney J. Cook, Queen Ravenden, DeShawn Marshall @ The Flea Theater, on Tue, 15 Sep, 19:00–20:00
House, disco, and funk reimagined as an afrofuturist club fantasy — twelve original songs performed live with aerialists, dancers, and club kids turning a theater into the fictional Stardust Club. It hands you a dance floor instead of a seat, landing somewhere between a rock gig, a drag revue, and a party you'd actually want to be at.

Breakfast Club – Serrian, Dio Garcia, varunisme @ Jupiter Disco, on Wed, 16 Sep, 19:00–02:00
Spacey house and acid-leaning techno from three selectors who cut their teeth on Brooklyn's more serious weekday parties, all running through Jupiter's rotary mixer. It's a small room that asks you to put your phone away and actually be there, which is why the Wednesday crowd here is one of the best in the city.
Dum Dum Disco – UMA DJ, Dirtyfinger, The Dum Dum Boys @ Mood Ring, on Wed, 16 Sep, 22:00–02:00
Disco and house rarities pulled off vinyl and USB — Detroit and Chicago grooves with real weight underneath, plus the kind of foot-stomping funk and boogie that only surfaces from somebody's 45 crate. Mood Ring is small, neon and completely unpretentious, so this lands somewhere between a loft party and a very good basement.
Effervescence – Denial, Sam Goku, Downloadable Content @ Bossa Nova Civic Club, on Wed, 16 Sep, 22:00–04:00
Progressive house and techno with a glistening, hypnotic edge — textured and melodic on top, relentless underneath, built for a set that keeps unfolding instead of peaking early. Bossa is fogged-in and dark by design, and there are unannounced guests on the bill, so the back half of the night is anyone's guess.
Misster – Amber Valentine @ The Woods, on Wed, 16 Sep, 22:00–04:00
Dance, pop and queer anthems — 2010s throwbacks on the indoor floor under a disco ball, contemporary Latin and lesbian artists drifting out into the backyard. The crowd skews young, queer and trans, everyone's singing along, and the inside room goes properly packed after 11:30.

Seven hours of house from one pair of hands — long enough to actually go somewhere, opening loose and warm in the early evening and tightening into something deeper and more insistent as the night lands. Unhurried, deep-cut selection from a DJ who's been quietly working Brooklyn's more serious rooms for years.
Thursday September 17th
Barangay presents Bahay Kubo – Jasmine Li, Jay Dawala, Gabriel Etrata, Lansuh, Niyah West, Chelsea @ Dead Letter No. 9, on Thu, 17 Sep, 20:00–01:00
House and disco threaded through with the rhythms of the Filipino diaspora — music that's travelled a long way and arrived sounding like a party. Two rooms, six selectors, and a night built on the idea that a dance floor works best when everyone in it is looking after each other.
OpenDeck presents Spin City @ Moondog Hifi, on Thu, 17 Sep, 20:00–02:00
Disco, soul, funk and house pulled from whoever signed up — vinyl spinning inside, CDJs keeping the patio moving, and a house rule that phones stay in pockets. It's open decks in the best sense: you show up for one record you love and leave having heard six you'd never heard of.
Romance – Eli Escobar @ Gabriela, on Thu, 17 Sep, 21:00–03:00
Pop, electro and sad bangers played entirely without irony — big feelings, hands up, crying openly encouraged. Six hours with one selector who knows exactly how to make a room ache and move at the same time.
Honey Trap – Blu:sh, Jane Margarette b2b Amelia Holt, Second Contact @ Signal, on Thu, 17 Sep, 21:00–04:00
Bouncy, euphoric house with jungle and liquid drum & bass creeping in at the edges — vocal-forward, fast-moving and deliberately a little bit sexy. Seven hours across three sets that never settle into one tempo, so expect to be caught off guard at least twice.
On Top x Bushwig Takeover – Horrorchata, p1nkstar, Tokio @ Le Bain, on Thu, 17 Sep, 22:00–04:00
Pop, club and full drag-floor chaos — the Bushwig crew taking over Susanne Bartsch's long-running Thursday and running it at maximum genderfuck volume. Expect looks, expect performance, and expect to be the most overdressed you've been all year and still not the most overdressed person in the room.
Thursdays are Casual – Vesi, Tempo Twist, MP Love, Sol System, Supes Base @ 00:00, on Thu, 17 Sep, 21:00–04:00
House and disco early on, sliding into tech house as the night gets later and the room gets braver. Low-stakes, high-warmth, and one of the few Thursdays where nobody's trying to impress anybody.
Community Hole – Kiss Kiss, señoritajuicy, Brutal Twink b2b Subcultures, kieeef plz @ Jupiter Disco, on Thu, 17 Sep, 19:00–02:00
Uplifting house, sharp club cuts and brain-tingling electro, opening all-vinyl and getting steadily more unhinged from there. A queer party in the truest sense — the floor is the whole point, phones stay down, and the peak-time stretch is genuinely euphoric.

House and electronica running long and loose — no headliner framing, no build-up, just two selectors given five hours and no reason to rush. The kind of quiet Thursday that turns into a real one somewhere around 1am.
Peter Matson, Stuart Bogie @ Public Records, on Thu, 17 Sep, 20:00–late
A hybrid set — records blended with live playing — leaning into disco, afrobeat and jazz-flecked grooves from someone who makes this music as well as spins it. Live saxophone over the top of all of it, which tips the night closer to a band you can dance to than a DJ night.
Refuge Thursday – Two Shell @ Refuge, on Thu, 17 Sep, 22:00–04:00
Playful, slippery club music from UK dance's favourite tricksters — UK funky, bass and hyper-processed edits that lurch between adorable and genuinely disorienting. A set that refuses to do the obvious thing twice in a row, played loud enough that every swerve lands physically.
Otha, Izzy Camina @ Good Room, on Thu, 17 Sep, 20:00–23:30
Club-leaning pop with heavy electronic rhythms underneath — a live show rather than a DJ night, but played at a tempo that still asks you to move. It's done before midnight, which makes it an opener for a longer Thursday rather than the whole plan.
Try something new.
Or just put your wig on and let your hair down.
