Hey {{ Name | there }}!
The NYC Marathon starts Sunday. The dance floor marathon starts tonight.
Yes, Halloween is here. No, you don't need a costume to join in: this week is costume optional, and the options are plentiful.
Tuesday comes out of the gate swinging. Queer Coded Vol. II: Nightmare at the Disco turns 3 Dollar Bill into an interactive dance theatre show, with drag, cabaret, live music and DJs all piled on top of each other. It's over the top in the most delightful way.
Then there's Halloween Plus. The High & Mighty Brass Band takes over Sleepwalk for a costume party where the horns do all the heavy lifting.
Wednesday, the Jupiter Disco Run Club sets off at 7pm for a 5K that ends in a spaceship disco, and the party keeps going until 2am. You will sweat. That's the point.
Thursday is the big one. 2ManyDJs land at Good Room, and Halloween or no Halloween, it's a booking worth clearing the night for.
Their sets swing from records you've never heard to a full-on '90s Belgian techno moment. Underground DJs sneak their tracks into sets, and you'll hear them in a car commercial the same week, which is completely bonkers.
Good Room is the perfect place to catch them. Small enough to feel close, big enough to lose yourself, and something magic happens on the way up those stairs.
Costume or no costume, this is a week to show up exactly as you are. A little sweaty, fully connected to the music and everyone around you.
Tuesday October 27th

Open Decks – STEEN, David 'Techno Blade' @ SILO, on Tue, 27 Oct, 7pm–2am
House and techno open decks with a co-host who leans dark, gothic and hard, so expect the room to tilt toward pounding techno as the night wears on. With fresh hands on the decks every few minutes, it's a loose, curious school-night hang where you might catch your next favorite DJ before anyone else does.

Kandi Milk @ Animal, on Tue, 27 Oct, 8pm–2am
Hypnotic, sensual queer club house from an artist on The Carry Nation's latest compilation, all slinky textures and emotionally charged builds. It's a seductive slow burn in a packed, friendly bar room, the kind that pulls you in for one drink and keeps you there until the lights come up.

Queer Coded Vol. II: Nightmare at the Disco @ 3 Dollar Bill, on Tue, 27 Oct, 7pm–1am
Disco and disco-adjacent sounds reimagined through dance theatre, drag, live music and DJ sets, a queer Halloween love letter to the genre they literally tried to burn in 1979. Come dressed as your favorite monster and get lost on a floor that's equal parts cabaret, protest and full-blown costume party.

Off The Record: Tuesday Sessions – Luchini b2b Fruuz, Mo Reza @ Public Arts, on Tue, 27 Oct, 11pm–4am
Late-night house and electronica tucked inside the Public Hotel, sleek and moody, with a crowd that refuses to call it early. Low lights, deep grooves and that rare weeknight room where nobody is checking the time.

High & Mighty Brass Band Halloween Party @ Sleepwalk, on Tue, 27 Oct, 8pm–10pm
A full brass band blasting big, horn-driven party grooves to a room in costume, loud, brassy and impossible to stand still to. It's a joyful, sweaty early-evening Halloween warm-up, the kind where strangers are dancing together by the second song.
🔔 Never Miss a Last-Minute Drop 🔔
NYC club culture runs on its own timeline — which means some of the best events only surface 24 hours before they happen, buried in someone's Instagram stories with an RSVP link that disappears in ten minutes.
I catch as much as I can for the newsletter, but when something drops late, Instagram is where I post it first.

Wednesday October 28th

Matteo Diop b2b Parea @ Outer Heaven, on Wed, 28 Oct, 8pm–4am
All-vinyl house and techno from two selectors who live in the groove, sliding between hypnotic minimal rollers and warmer, rounder cuts. A proper midweek record-nerd night where the music keeps nudging you back onto the floor long after you meant to leave.

JDRC Session 005: 5K Run + Afterparty – Alpaca, Ege Dai @ Jupiter Disco, on Wed, 28 Oct, 7pm–2am
New York disco, Chicago house and Detroit techno soundtracking a 5K that sets off from The Lot Radio at 7pm and finishes in a spaceship bar, where the cool-down quickly turns into a warm-up all over again. Marathon-week energy and happy endorphins make it the most wholesome way to end up dancing on a school night.

Juan Fawcett @ MAD Radio, on Wed, 28 Oct, 5pm–12am
Minimal, spacey and organic house and techno from a record collector who builds slow, story-driven sets toward a big payoff. It starts at happy hour and drifts into dancing, an easy, unhurried way to let the evening unfold.

The Blaze (Live) @ Knockdown Center, on Wed, 28 Oct, 7pm–11pm
Rich, cinematic electronic music performed live, all swelling synths, aching vocals and slow-building drops that land like a film score with a kick drum. Expect a huge, emotional main-hall moment where the whole room sways together and someone near you definitely cries.

Club Management LIVE: The Life and Sounds of Stacey 'Hotwaxx' Hale – Stacey Hotwaxx Hale, DJ Shannon @ Public Records, on Wed, 28 Oct, 7pm–10pm
An intimate listening session and live podcast taping built around the records that shaped Detroit house, with decades of stories played out on a gorgeous sound system. Less dance floor, more master class, it's a rare chance to hear house music history told by someone who helped write it.
Thursday October 29th

2ManyDJs, Rory Phillips @ Good Room, on Thu, 29 Oct, 10pm–4am
Genre-smashing electro, indie dance and disco edits mashed together with zero respect for boundaries, the sweaty bloghouse-era chaos turned up to 2026 volume. It's the most fun kind of messy, where a rock riff, a disco loop and a techno kick can all hit inside the same five minutes.

ROMANCE – Eli Escobar @ Gabriela, on Thu, 29 Oct, 9pm–3am
Sad bangers, unashamed pop and electro with a Halloween twist, built for dancing through your feelings in full costume. Come ready to cry your makeup off in the best possible way, because this room turns heartbreak into pure joy.

Gaydar Halloween – Ellen.J, TimaLikesMusic @ House of Yes, on Thu, 29 Oct, 10pm–late
Queer pop and club anthems mixed with drag performances and a midnight costume contest, loud, campy and proudly a little feral. Sexy, silly and spooky all at once, it's the kind of night where you meet your next situationship and run into your ex on the same dance floor.

SOIRÉE – Jean-Paul, J.N.R., Chilly & Gams @ MAD Radio, on Thu, 29 Oct, 5pm–2am
Deep house laced with Latin rhythms and classic dance records, moving from happy-hour grooves into a proper late-night floor. No-frills, mindful selections on the deeper end make it the kind of night that sneaks up on you, one drink quietly turning into dancing until close.

dero, Latas @ Moondog HiFi, on Thu, 29 Oct, 10pm–2am
Deep grooves and club-ready house in an intimate hi-fi room, two selectors trading perspectives without ever losing the rhythm. Tight, warm and close to the speakers, it feels like dancing in a friend's very well-tuned living room.

Dearly Beloved: Dead Letter No. 9's Final Thursday – Orson.NYC, James Juke, RONRON, Sanouyer @ Dead Letter No. 9, on Thu, 29 Oct, 9pm–2am
House and electronica across two rooms for a bar's tongue-in-cheek funeral, with bone-cold martinis and a dress code of your finest mourning attire. One last dance with a beloved spot before it closes for good, equal parts wake, party and goodbye hug.

PURGATORY – salute b2b Stacey Pullen @ Refuge, on Thu, 29 Oct, 10pm–4am
Euphoric, garage-flecked club cuts colliding with soulful Detroit techno in a b2b that should spark in all the right ways. On a four-stack system that surrounds the floor, it's the kind of immersive night where time genuinely disappears.

White Lodge – Bobby, Choukroun b2b Armii1n @ Outer Heaven, on Thu, 29 Oct, 8pm–4am
Rolling, stripped-back house in an intimate downtown room, the grooves tightening hour by hour as the night slides toward close. A warm, close-knit Halloween option for anyone who would rather lose themselves in the music than in a costume.

DickAppointment Halloween – BEARCAT, Tah, Fried Platano, Kenni Javon, Libby Brothers @ The Standard, on Thu, 29 Oct, 10pm–4am
Hip-hop and hard-hitting club music taking over the top of The Standard, loud, sexy and a little bit dangerous. Halloween weekend starts early here, with a crowd that treats the dance floor like a runway.

The Cure's Disintegration Listening Session – Andi @ Silence Please, on Thu, 29 Oct, 7pm–10pm
Post-punk's most gloriously gloomy album played front to back on vinyl, loud and in full detail, hosted by the author of a new book about the record. Less a night out than a moody, immersive ritual, perfect for anyone who has ever worn all black on purpose.

SEEING SOUNDS: Session 003 – Tyler Kpakpo @ Deep Dive, on Thu, 29 Oct, 8pm–11pm
Moodymann's debut album played on vinyl in full, plus rare records from the Detroit house legend's catalog, deep, soulful and gloriously off-kilter. An intentional, off-the-dance-floor listening session where you actually sit with the music and leave hearing house in a whole new way.

GARBAGE TRASH WHORE Halloween Party – Donatella LeRoc, Small Hands, Maddie V Baby, Valley Latini, La Máquina @ Le Bain, on Thu, 29 Oct, 10pm–4am
Club, house and punk-flecked rock smashed together at a gloriously trashy queer Halloween party, where a snarling guitar riff can tip straight into a pounding four-on-the-floor. Expect a sweaty, filthy costume riot up in the sky, messy in all the right ways and blissfully free of the bro crowd.
The marathon starts Sunday.
Ours already started.
Stretch, hydrate, get down.
See you on the floor 🪩
