Hey {{ Name | there }}!
A big party weekend does not mean NYC is keeping its dance floor powder dry.
This week has options — and some of them might just rival your Saturday night plans.
Tuesday, STEEN hosts Open Decks at SILO — a rotating session on a 15,000-watt sound system where anyone can sign up and play. The kind of night that reminds you why you got into this music in the first place.
This Wednesday in particular? Don't sleep on it.
The DJs have room to explore and the crowd that shows up actually wants to be there — and this week, the Wednesday lineup is stacked.
And Thursday, Dan Shake comes in from the UK for an all-night run at Public Records. Boogie, disco, house, and a crate so deep four hours feels like forty minutes. If you haven't seen him yet, this is your moment.
No matter what your weekend looks like — this week has something that rivals it.
Tuesday May 19th

HEADCRACK – Lexicon, Gianna G, Dawn Tilson, Fugitive Artifact @ Bossa Nova Civic Club, on Tue, 19 May, 22:00–04:00
One of Brooklyn's most sonically adventurous nights — rare boogie and early Chicago house giving way to electro, jungle, footwork, and mutated bass music, all in one room at Bossa Nova. Come with an open mind and be ready to move in directions you didn't expect.
Open Decks with STEEN @ SILO, on Tue, 19 May, 19:00–02:00
A rotating house and techno open deck session on SILO's 15,000-watt Danley system — STEEN hosts, the floor is open, and anyone can sign up in person for a 12-minute slot. The kind of Tuesday that reminds you why you got into this music in the first place. Free with RSVP.

Techno Yoga – Yaya Flows, Janus Rose @ Trans-Pecos, on Tue, 19 May, 19:00–20:00
Not a dance floor — a yoga class set to techno, which is honestly a very NYC thing to do on a Tuesday evening. One hour, two selectors, and a chance to stretch it out before the week gets away from you.
Party 016 – WTCHCRFT, Miss Parker, DJ Thank You, Cerberus (Fefe x DJ Brandy Melville x Heartbreaker), b⍟y @ Gabriela, on Tue, 19 May, 22:30–03:00
A $5 Tuesday at Gabriela from two of Brooklyn's most plugged-in collectives — techno and tech house with a lineup that mixes established names and underground favorites in a room that's all about the music, not the spectacle. Early is cheaper and the floor fills fast.

ALL NIGHT HYPERJOY – Jake Korolev, stjarnafaen @ Wonderville, on Tue, 19 May, 21:00–02:00
Hyperpop, ravecore, jersey club, breaks, and edits — two selectors who treat genre as a suggestion and joy as the only real requirement. Free with RSVP, which is exactly what a Tuesday night like this should cost.

TonyDeepDisco @ MAD Radio NYC, on Wed, 20 May, 18:00–00:00
An early evening set from a vinyl-obsessed deep disco and house selector — TonyDeepDisco's sets are all groove and funk from the disco era woven into the warm, forward motion of house music, the kind of Wednesday night starter that makes the rest of the week feel optional.

Disco, house, techno, and trance on a Wednesday night at Honey's — for the 9-to-5ers who've decided the week can wait and the weekend warriors who never really stopped. Four selectors, free all night, zero excuses.

Sex Over Thirty, ellen.j @ Jupiter Disco, on Wed, 20 May, 19:00–02:00
A weird, warm, multi-genre Wednesday at Jupiter — house, electronica, and pop edits from two selectors who aren't afraid to take the floor somewhere unexpected. Billed as the unofficial movement pregame, which means the real party starts here. Free all night.

Club Made presents: Tim Lucent @ Outer Heaven, on Wed, 20 May, 20:00–03:00

Thursday May 21st

Dan Shake All Night Long @ public records, on Thu, 21 May, 22:30–02:30
One of the most in-demand selectors in the world right now, going all night at Public Records — Dan Shake's sets move through boogie, disco, and house with an effortless groove and the kind of deep crate knowledge that makes four hours feel like forty minutes.

Redirect – Miss Parker, Mos, Peter Madden, Erik Braun, Henry Chow, HNDRNC, skoglund @ Good Room, on Thu, 21 May, 22:00–04:00
Two rooms of house and techno built around one core idea: music first, everything else second. Miss Parker headlines the Good Room with her encyclopedic, vinyl-heavy command of the dance floor, while Henry Chow's raw, tension-driven techno anchors the Bad Room deep into the night.

Sensible Shoe – Michael Cignarale b2b Yinan @ C'mon Everybody, on Thu, 21 May, 22:30–02:00
High-drama house where camp meets the club — sequins under strobes, delightful deviance on the floor, and a b2b built to keep the energy moving from start to finish. Free with RSVP, which is the only sensible thing about this night.

Out Of Office – Harry Rotker, Hovy, MISS PIPS @ SILO, on Thu, 21 May, 22:00–04:00
House and tech house born out of a philosophy — MISS PIPS built Out Of Office around the idea of choosing what makes you feel alive over what's expected of you, and the music reflects exactly that. A free Thursday at SILO, recorded live for an upcoming episode of OOO on Data Transmission Radio.

SMURFO, UMA DJ @ Jupiter Disco, on Thu, 21 May, 22:00–02:00
Two Brooklyn mainstays taking over Jupiter for a night of funky, feel-good house — the kind of pre-weekend warm-up that doesn't need a concept, just good selectors and a room full of people ready to move. Free all night.

Soul Purpose – Down to Mars (LIVE), Kendollaz, Quinnette @ Xanadu, on Thu, 21 May, 20:00–00:00
Live funk and disco at the Xanadu rink — Down to Mars bring a live set, Kendollaz and Quinnette hold down the DJ duties, and the whole thing is designed to take you somewhere else entirely. Skate, dance, or just let the music do what it does.

ROMANCE – Eli Escobar, Andi @ Gabriela, on Thu, 21 May, 21:00–03:00
Synth pop, italo, early 80s house, disco, and sad bangers — Eli Escobar's weekly dream party is the Thursday institution that keeps Brooklyn showing up in eyeliner and feelings. Big emotions, crying encouraged, free every Thursday.
Don't wait for the weekend.
The good stuff is already here.
See you on the floor 🪩
